We’ve been busy knocking out infills, replacing faulty PIV’s and Hydrants, along with running the single axle on a multi-week project in Bexley, Ohio

Little home addition Tylor Griffith and I dug out and stoned in for Gerding Construction

I am really enjoying the more challenging projects these days such as building pads, home additions, basements, and larger scaled jobs..!

I enjoy the daily challenge…

Some say “Bite off more than you can chew, then figure out how to start chewing”

Saved a back yard the last couple days this week…

A gentleman had spent a lifetime placing garden beds, raised beds, edging, brick walkways, watering systems, and a multi-tiered back area.

We came in and removed EVERYTHING..!

9 total single axle loads hauled out through the tiny gate access 🤙🏾

We will be transitioning from these types of jobs in the future and focusing more on home additions, building pads, and foundations…

Our goal is to be adding bigger iron in 27’ and transition away from some of these jobs that helped start us !

Finally was able to get in and spread some dirt around the building pad before more rain this week and the builders arrive…

We used a 54in sheeps foot roller to help with compaction on this one.
The homeowner had all our dirt hauled in prior to and during the project.

We used right around 70 tons of 304 material.
Laser graded it in and smooth drum vibe rolled her shut..!

All in all we think it turned out great !

Recommendations needed:

Have an upcoming concrete job and need a good concrete company

Job will be right beside the Horseshoe, working on The Ohio State campus.

* You must be properly insured, no weekend warriors *

I will be saw cutting, removing, hydro vac the utilities, and placing 304 back

Concrete needs poured back to spec for campus.

Approx. size 6x6x4” will require wire mesh, expansion joint, broom finish, and control joints…

Quick recap of some drainage we helped with…

Set a couple basins ( the wonky ones were previously set ), ran some 12” storm, tied an 8” in, ran some 6” downspout connections.

Learned a couple lessons on this one.

1) Use your own equipment !!!
Using others junk that won’t run or stay running doesn’t pay.

2) Get verbal agreements in writing.

3) Price is price and stand on it !!!
