Today is International Angelman Day and the Granville Kiwanis has partnered with Granville Angels to raise awareness for a cause that uniquely impacts our Licking County community.

🤔 While this rare neurogenetic disorder typically affects roughly 1 in 15,000 live births around the world, 2 families in Granville have been impacted.

🫶🏻Individuals living with AS have balance issues, motor impairment, debilitating seizures and developmental delay.

🫶🏻The life expectancy of someone with AS is normal, though some do not walk, most do not speak, and all are unable to live independently, requiring continuous care.

🥳 Science says we can find a cure for AS! The proceeds collected during today’s breakfast will be used to raise awareness, support and critical funds to further this important work.
