Many leaders carry enormous responsibility — and very little uninterrupted space to think.

Work Wives creates intentional environments where healthcare leaders can step back, reflect, and build the systems that support sustainable growth.

If you’re navigating that stage of leadership, we’d love to start the conversation.

Work Wives was built on real-life leadership.

We know what it’s like to be responsible for a growing organization while also navigating the realities of family, caregiving, and everyday life.

Some of the most important decisions we’ve made didn’t happen in an office.

They happened when we stepped away long enough to think clearly.

That experience is why we believe intentional leadership space matters.

Let’s talk about the kind of “working from home” no one posts about.

You’re on a call while someone needs a snack.
You’re answering emails between school pickups.
You’re trying to think strategically while mentally tracking everyone else’s needs.

You’re working — but never uninterrupted.

For many women in leadership, home isn’t a neutral workspace. It’s layered with responsibility, interruption, and emotional labor.

That’s not a failure of discipline.
That’s reality.

Healthcare leaders:
At what point did growth start feeling overwhelming for your organization?
Was it:
A. Hiring your first team
B. Managing multiple locations
C. Navigating compliance and documentation
D. Realizing everything still ran through you

We’d love to hear your experience.

Healthcare leaders carry enormous operational weight.

If your organization is growing but your systems haven’t caught up, it may help to talk with someone who has navigated that growth before.

Work Wives partners with healthcare organizations to build operational structure that supports sustainable growth.

Work Wives didn’t start as a consulting concept.

It started as real-life leadership.

While growing a pediatric healthcare organization across multiple counties, we learned firsthand that passion alone can’t sustain growth.

Strong systems protect teams, protect culture, and protect the mission.

That experience is what led us to create Work Wives.

If your organization feels like it’s growing faster than your structure, this conversation might resonate.

Many healthcare leaders believe chaos during growth means they’re doing something wrong.

It usually means something else:

Your organization has outgrown its infrastructure.

When structure catches up with growth, leadership stops feeling reactive.

And teams can finally breathe again.

We explore this in our latest blog.

So what does “Work Wives” actually mean?

For us, it started simply — two leaders building, growing, problem-solving, and navigating the weight of running a complex healthcare organization together.

But over time, it became something more.

A work wife is the person who:
• Knows your calendar better than you do
• Protects your mission when things get messy
• Thinks three steps ahead before a problem surfaces
• Says the hard thing when it needs to be said
• Celebrates the wins that no one else sees

It’s not about titles.
It’s about trust.
It’s about shared responsibility.
It’s about building something that matters — together.

Every visionary leader needs someone who has their back.

That’s what Work Wives means to us.

Mission-driven organizations don’t struggle because they lack passion.

They struggle because growth without structure creates strain.

We’ve seen it firsthand — rapid expansion, increasing compliance demands, team complexity, leadership pressure — all without systems strong enough to support it.

Strong systems protect your mission.
Clear structure reduces chaos.
Intentional operations sustain growth.

That’s the problem we solve.

Before Work Wives, there was OASIS.

We built OASIS Pediatric Therapy from the ground up — growing across 10 Colorado counties while navigating compliance, team development, multi-site operations, and the realities of scaling a mission-driven healthcare organization.

We learned the hard way that growth without systems creates chaos.
That leadership can feel isolating.
That compliance is complex.
That culture must be protected intentionally.

And we learned that vision alone isn’t enough, it takes structure to sustain it.

We didn’t create Work Wives from theory. We built it from experience.

Work Wives exists because we know what it feels like to carry the weight of growth — and we know how powerful it is to have the right systems and support behind you.

If you’re building something that matters, you don’t have to do it alone.

You don’t just need strategy.
You need systems.
You need leadership support.
You need someone who understands healthcare from the inside.

That’s why we created Work Wives.

Founded by Lacy Helms, MA, CCC-SLP, and Dr. Kristin Ceriani, PT, DPT — leaders of OASIS Pediatric Therapy and WHALE Respite Center — Work Wives exists to help mission-driven organizations grow with structure, clarity, and heart.

We turn big vision into operational reality.
