Some thoughts on why I quit being a makeup artist.

Leaving bridal makeup wasn’t an easy decision.

For a long time, I thought that because I was good at something and genuinely enjoyed parts of it, I was supposed to keep doing it.

I wanted to build a business that didn’t depend on how many Saturdays I could physically work.

I still love makeup. I still love weddings. And I still have so much appreciation for the years I spent doing it.

I just realized I wanted something different for myself. Instead, I’m working with wedding professionals helping respond to inquires, sending contracts, making timelines, etc. Or helping them manage their social media so they can have something off their list off their to do list.

Because let’s be honest, weddings are like 90% admin and 10% the actual wedding.

Im glad I pivoted into this online business world. I love it here.

50+ weddings sounds like a dream. And it is. 🤍

But behind those 50+ weddings are hundreds of little details that someone has to keep track of.

Inquiries. Follow ups. Client communication. Timelines. Team coordination. Scheduling. Changes. And all the little things that somehow become your responsibility.

I’ve worked in the wedding industry, so I know firsthand how quickly the behind the scenes work can pile up! But ya girl is now helping you with those behind the scenes 🙋🏻‍♀️

Literally always learning and improving 🙂‍↕️

So many platforms, softwares, apps and tools come out constantly. And I’m just here learning them and seeing which can improve your business the best.

Definitely not always perfect at it, but stubborn enough to continue learning, always 🤪

Why might I quote one client $500 and another $1,000?
Because I’m not pricing based on a one size fits all VA package.

I’m looking at how much support your business actually needs.

$500 might cover focused, task-based support.

$1,000+ might mean more hours, communication, responsibility, systems, and ownership.

Same person. Different level of support. Different investment.
The goal isn’t to charge you for more.

It’s to be able to build the right level of support around your business.

What I’m actually doing:
Creating systems, managing workflows, organizing the backend, keeping client communication moving, supporting teams, and making sure the business doesn’t depend on the owner remembering every little thing.

That’s the part happening behind the scenes. ✨

Everyone says they need more time.

The more your business grows, the more decisions, emails, follow ups, content, client communication, and behind the scenes tasks pile up. Before you know it, you’re spending more time managing your business than growing it.

Your business doesn’t need more content.

Because consistency doesn’t come from having more ideas.
