Demo Farms at Dusk are a Fox Demo Farms event held on the second Tuesday of the month. They are an opportunity to see a practice in person, learn from the farmers that are making it work, and talk to conservation staff about ways to adopt the practice on your farm. 🌽 Silage Cutting Height Experiment🌾

We’re digging into how cutting height impacts silage yield and quality! In our first Curiosity Corner trial, we tested eight HiDF hybrids at three cutting heights and compared them to whole-plant BMR products.

The results? 👀 Some promising trends—but we’ll need more locations and years before drawing firm conclusions. Stay tuned as we continue to explore ways to get the most out of your silage!

Finally had a chance to work in the shop for a couple of hours this week. Tractor, applicator, and planter maintenance were all on the list in between seed deliveries and the normal day-to-day.
Every offseason we tear the planter down, give it an additional thorough scrub and inspection, then reassemble with new wear parts to ensure top performance.
Here you can see the partial tear down before the next wash when it warms up again. is still a couple months away.
