So, what does I-140 approval mean?

It means U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has officially approved their employer's petition to sponsor them for permanent employment in the United States through the EB-3 visa program.

October Visa Bulletin Update 🚨

The US Department of State released the October Visa Bulletin late last week, marking the start of the new immigration fiscal year. Here is what you need to know:

• Processing Retrogression: Processing dates moved back roughly 3.5 months to May 15, 2024, putting the current overall timeline at about 2 years and 5 months.

• Why the Shift: Retrogression was set to manage applicant volume so it does not exceed the annual limits (around 140,000–150,000 employment-based visas) after worldwide processing was previously paused for staff training.

• Country Limits: Per-country limits (7% cap) continue to cause significantly longer backlogs for high-demand countries like China and India.

What this means for people in our program:

• Timeline Expectation: The processing window is set at roughly 2.5 years (2 years and 5 months) from initial paperwork filing to your consulate interview, matching long-term planning expectations.

• Clearer Interview Schedule: The date retrogression explains why some participants who were current in September had not yet received interview dates, as officials were adjusting timelines.

• Increased Predictability: This adjustment creates a realistic and reliable schedule for upcoming interview calls.

WorkPath Visas is recruiting experienced TRUCK DRIVERS and TANKER DRIVERS who want to pursue the opportunity to live and work in the United States through our EB-3 visa program.

Do you have experience driving heavy articulated vehicles, tractor-trailers or tankers?

Depending on where you drive, your license may have a different name. Some of the commercial licenses we see include:

South Africa — Code EC / Code 14
Zimbabwe — Class 2 with qualifying heavy-truck experience
Canada — Class 1 or Class A/AZ

The name on your license may be different. What matters is whether you have the right type of heavy commercial driving experience and can verify it.

✅ 7+ years of current, verifiable professional truck-driving experience
✅ Heavy articulated / tractor-trailer experience
✅ Strong English communication skills
✅ Under age 50

Tanker drivers are also encouraged to apply!
