We found Panda last night! Panda escaped at about 2:00PM from her yard. The family searched for her until dark with one additional sighting, but were not able to catch her. Temperatures were dropping fast, so we knew we had to locate her quickly since she is very small (10lbs) and not used to these overnight winter temperatures. We had the drone up by about 7:30PM and did a grid search of the immediate area surrounding the house-no luck. We suspected she was fairly close and likely seeking shelter under something, so we began grid searching at a very low altitude and in the opposite direction we did previously. Within 5 minutes of starting the new grid search, she was located tucked underneath a spruce tree. She was so well-hidden that we would not have seen her from the drone had we taken any other approach angle. Panda was very cold with ice on her fur, but within a few minutes of being indoors, she was very active. It’s so rewarding to be a part of these pet searches! We do far more deer searches in the fall, but during the winter months, pet searches account for most of our flight hours. I’ve been a little inactive recently with a lot going on at the same time. Trying to balance getting hunting in myself along with doing as many drone recoveries as possible. Here’s a cool recovery from last night. This buck was hit a little far back with blood tapering off even in the snow. The drone was in the air for only about 10-15 minutes and we were able to find him. The heat signature was not as easy to detect because of snow already covering the hide. Deer are incredibly well-insulated and just a dusting of snow was enough to almost completely cover him.

This buck appears to be practicing for Wisconsin’s gun opener tomorrow morning as he was already in his bed close to sunrise today. He’s a bit broken up, but appears to still be working rubs or scrapes with the debris he has hanging off of his antlers. Watch this red fox catch a small rodent! We were out on a deer recovery last night in Oconto County and happened to come across a couple heat signatures where one appeared to be chasing the other. I dropped down with the drone to see what it was, and to my surprise, it was a red fox hunting a small rodent in a freshly combined corn field! Watch until the end to see both the thermal and regular camera views of the fox’s success.

In addition to finding the deer, I also make it a priority to provide the hunter with images/video of their recovery. I aim to make the recovery as memorable of an experience as possible, and pictures/videos make it even more special. I love capturing the moments the hunter first lays eyes on their deer. It’s been a fun year so far with lots of success stories! Here’s another one from this weekend on a beautiful Wisconsin whitetail. This buck went a long way from the shot, but we were able to track him down and put him in the hands of the hunter.

We got a call from a hunter last night about a nice buck he had shot. After a couple worst case scenarios took place, he was unsure if the buck would be successfully recovered. We arrived this morning before the sun rose to see what we could find. After a few short minutes, a faint but distinct heat signature was detected by the drone. It was what we were looking for! A beautiful Wisconsin whitetail. I love being a part of these successful recoveries! Call or message me at any time you’re in need of some tracking help.

‼️Watch until the end‼️We recovered a young hunter’s first bow buck under very picturesque conditions yesterday. This video shows the approach and streamlined process of how the full drone recovery works. The blue pin that you see was where last blood was found (about 200 yards from the deer). A scan of the area from the back side of where the deer had been running towards revealed the deer in under 5 minutes. These drones are fantastic tools to minimize disturbance in your woods, know if your deer crossed property boundaries, and to assess the deer’s condition.

This deer made it approximately 350 yards through nasty swamp.
