Meet Cathy Baumann!!!

👋 Hi! I’m Cathy, an Employment Consultant and Job Coach with VaryAbility.

I love helping people discover their strengths and watching their confidence grow as they gain experience through employment preparation and on-the-job experience.

I also enjoy working closely with local employers. Every successful placement is a partnership, and I love serving as a bridge between employers and job seekers to create the best possible fit for everyone involved.

Whether it’s helping with communication, training, problem-solving, or ongoing support, my goal is to make the process as smooth and successful as possible for both the employee and the employer.

There’s nothing better than meeting the incredible people who help make our community such a great place to live and work. I truly enjoy building relationships with both employers and job seekers, and I believe a little fun, laughter and kindness go a long way. After all, we spend a big part of our lives at work, so we may as well enjoy the journey together!

✨ What My Client Taught Me About Trusting Yourself
I recently worked with a young woman who had just graduated from high school. She had been offered a position with a well-known company, but just one week later, a hiring freeze took that opportunity away.
So, we got to work.
We built her résumé, practiced interview skills, and applied for several jobs. With every interview, her confidence grew and she became more comfortable sharing her strengths.
But she never stopped believing in that first opportunity.
I’ll admit… I encouraged her to focus elsewhere. Instead, she quietly reapplied for the exact same position on her own… and she got the job. ✨
Not because of luck. Because she trusted herself, stayed determined, and kept taking action.
This is one of the many reasons I love working at VaryAbility. Our clients inspire us every day, and sometimes they become our greatest teachers.
No matter what challenge you’re facing, keep believing in yourself and keep moving forward.

At VaryAbility once the job seekers we support are hired, we provide services for at least 3 months to ensure things are successful. Mallory Cornelius checked in with an employer today to ask how things were going with their recent hire and if they needed any support. The email received back was amazing and reminds us why we do what we do.

"So far he has been going great...I am glad I hired him."

We are truly fortunate to support some amazing job seekers, employees and employers in our community!
