Pro tip 👉🏻 prep for your next show starts when the last show ends.

These 3 best friends I have pictured are my go to system for post show hide care.

Even if you went to the show clean, you likely came in some form of indirect contact with someone else’s funk. Ain’t nobody got time for that! If you don’t want any of that dampening your parade, it’s best to be PROACTIVE instead of REACTIVE.

Step 1: Always Always Always do a post show bath with some sort of anti funk shampoo. We use the Medicated Shampoo from Weaver’s for this and any other time we have suspicious skin and hide issues.

Step 2: After drying, spray the ENTIRE animal thoroughly with Ring Out or similar product. We use the concentrate because the little bottles fit nicely in our pack out. Our local feed store carries this.

Step 3: Mix up 1 container of Corn Husker lotion in your spray bottle with the rest being water. Spray the animal, specifically focusing on the top. We get this either from Amazon or Walmart.

Step 4: Re blanket or tube. Preferably once dry or make sure they’re under a fan so they don’t bake.

Step 5: Repeat Ring Out & Corn Huskers twice a day for 3 days.

There are many ways to skin this particular cat 🐈‍⬛. The important part is finding a system and products that work for you. This is what has worked for us & these supplies are easy to get.
