Can I ask a robot machine to compare these high selling pedigrees? Yes.

But also, it’s WAY more fun to have printed copies, a highlighter and a glass of w**e.

Total non Angus pro staring at these pedigrees but does 𝑺𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒔 𝑫𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎 1339 have all the gold stars? ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Additionally, .
Period.
Exclamation point.

Funny story is that back in my bovine repro days, we about had an anxiety attack when a client told us that’s what they were using. Rare, expensive, limited supply. I mean…. We chartered a plane to carry oocytes once. The horrors seemed to be attracted to him lol

Totally irrelevant story other than being reminded of how things come full circle!

The digging & sharing continues.
Let me know if you like this type of coverage or not.

XO, a forever fan girl of our industry

ps- I hope my Angus friends are so proud..

Even a Hereford girl at heart knows when it’s time to admit that the black cows did it this weekend!

What in the world literally??? (𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒆𝒍𝒔𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖 😉)

All last year, I shared my findings here in the show sheep sale world. Stuff that you know if you live in that world and actively watch all of them.

Turns out not everyone is crazy like me.

Sooooo, I’ve been slowly gathering data on the show cow side too and will start sharing more of that here!

Back to the original point. I was pumped when 1 Hereford cow sold for 6 figures last week.

Nowatzke, Udell & Basin were like “hold my beer.” (And that’s before we even talk about Silveira…)

Between just Udell (IA) and Nowatzke (IN), SIXTEEN lots brought $100K or more totaling $2.5M+.

Pause.

Start breathing again.

Then, Basin Angus Ranch…. totally different type of Angus outfit all the way out in Montana…. pops off half interest on a bull calf for $900K. And if that wasn’t enough, his mom sells right after him for $450K.

Oh wait….. I probably need to check in with Coleman, Montana Ranch and the Ladies of the Beartooths… 🫶🏻

If this stuff doesn’t excite you, I don’t know what will! Huge huge huge weekend in the beef cattle industry on “both sides of the wall”.

Me and my pencil and calculator will be over here awhile digging into these epic events happening all around us.

Congrats to all the parties involved! 👊🏻

Incase anyone other than me needs to hear something like this…..

“You can love people deeply without giving everyone equal access, meeting every expectation, or making their disappointment your responsibility.”

🎯

Jesus loved people deeply. And He still disappointed them.

He didn’t go everywhere people wanted Him to go. He didn’t say what everyone wanted to hear. And He didn’t make keeping everyone happy His assignment.

Think about His twelve disciples. Jesus had a close relationship with all of them, but Peter, James, and John were invited into moments the other nine weren’t. The Transfiguration, for example (Matthew 17:1–9).

I wonder how the others felt about that. Did they ever feel left out? Did they think it was unfair? We don’t know.

But what we do know is that Jesus didn’t give everyone the same access to Him.

And in Mark 1:35–38, when people were looking for Him, He chose to move on rather than stay where everyone wanted Him.

Somewhere along the way, we’ve confused being loving with making sure nobody is ever disappointed in us.

But those aren’t the same thing.

You can love people deeply without giving everyone equal access, meeting every expectation, or making their disappointment your responsibility.
