I know they say you should clear cut scotch pine but the landowner insisted that he just wanted it thinned and see how it goes from there. Well here is the finished product.

Got the shop all cleaned out and put the log trucks away for the storm. Time to clean them up and get some maintenance ...

Looks like a good year for the thimble berries ! These plants and raspberries love to follow loggers that do select cuts.

To much sunlight and they will not do well but a new woods road through a thinning with the bark where the piles were stacked creates these awesome growing habitats. This spot was a pulp pile not very long ago !

One more reason to select cut your timber !
