A great way to start the weekend!

This morning I volunteered with the Junior League of Greenville SC at the Julie Valentine Center annual Run to Overcome 5K/10K. I loved seeing the Greenville community coming together for a cause that brings hope, healing, and support to others.

Grateful to play a small part in such a meaningful event.

I’m excited to share that I’ve been featured in SC Voyager Magazine, where I had the opportunity to reflect on my journey, my passion for service, and the work being done through Davis Social Work Consultants to strengthen organizations and support the people behind the work.

In the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a true Day of Service, I’ve been thinking a lot about this past weekend and how meaningful it was.

I had the opportunity to volunteer with the Prisma Health-Upstate Foundation and the Bradshaw Institute for Community Child Health & Advocacy as they celebrated 30 years of Safe Kids and the impact it has had on children and families in our community.

The celebration was special, but the part that really stayed with me came afterward, when the work began. Having my daughter there volunteering alongside me made the day even more meaningful. Watching her jump in, help out, and see service in action reminded me that giving back is something we teach by doing. Seeing families move through the diaper bank and leave with the support they needed was a powerful reminder that community work is really about showing up for one another.

So grateful for the chance to serve, to share that experience with my daughter, and to be part of a community that continues to put children and families first, year after year.

I’m looking forward to expanding my work through new partnerships and continued collaboration in 2026. DSWC has exciting initiatives ahead and welcomes opportunities to work alongside organizations seeking support to strengthen their impact.

As we move into this season of gratitude, I am especially thankful for the opportunity to be featured on UpstateBizSC Entrepreneur Minute. I’m truly humbled by the experience, which allowed me to reflect on the journey that has shaped Davis Social Work Consultants and the work I care so deeply about. I hope it offers a glimpse into why I am so passionate about strengthening systems that support children, families, and the professionals who serve them.

This evening the Advocacy Committee hosted Advocacy 101: Ignite & Inspire. Members explored the mission-driven work of the Advocacy Committee and learned how advocacy strengthens our community impact.

A heartfelt thank you to our Advocacy Committee members for leading with purpose and creating such an inspiring evening of learning and connection.

Yesterday, I attended “Shaping Tomorrow: A Women in Leadership Conversation” presented by Architects, LLC. Hearing the stories of incredible women leaders from across the Upstate left me inspired and motivated.

My biggest takeaway was don’t be afraid, know your value, and go for it! I’m reminded daily that stepping into your purpose with courage and intention makes all the difference.

This week I attended the Children's Trust of South Carolina Home Visitors Conference as both an exhibitor and presenter. It was wonderful connecting with nearly 250 professionals and sharing about the services Omni Family Institute.

A highlight was presenting “Play with Purpose” to a full room of 70 participants. We learned, laughed, and even had an epic
three-minute dance party!

Grateful for the opportunity to share, connect, and grow alongside so many dedicated colleagues.

Play is more than fun — it is a powerful tool for connection, healing, and growth.

Had a fantastic time today at the City of Greenville’s Community Resource Fair. The theme was Boots On The Ground. It was a true “Boots on the Ground” event bringing together over 40 incredible vendors, all committed to supporting and strengthening our community!

It was inspiring to see so many organizations working side by side to provide resources, share knowledge, and uplift local families. Proud to be part of such a dedicated network making a real difference right here in Greenville!

Grateful for the opportunity to participate as a vendor at the United Women’s Summit on yesterday. It was an inspiring day surrounded by powerful women committed to making a difference.
