A homeowner walks into our studio holding a photo on their phone.

The kitchen in that photo is beautiful. The island looks enormous. The light pours in. The ceiling seems to float.

Then we put their actual plans on our studio floor at true 1:1 scale, and they walk it.

And the questions change.

“Wait, is this the island? I thought there’d be more room behind it.”

“The pantry door hits the fridge?”

“That window is smaller than I pictured.”

“Can two people actually cook in here at once?”

None of these clients did anything wrong.

Inspiration photos, renderings, and now AI-generated images aren’t built from your plans. They’re built from someone else’s dream, or from no plans at all.

Thank you to Hubbell Homes and Hubbell Realty Company for coming into the studio to work through the new Madrid house plan, including two- and three-car garage options.

During a 90-minute working session, the team moved through the plan at life size and made meaningful updates to the kitchen, dining, and living areas—identifying opportunities to improve the layout, create additional usable space, and add square footage on both the main and lower levels.

As the team reviewed markups in real time on the Vibe Board, one member of the executive team said, “This is why we do this.”

And we appreciate that sentiment — creating the best possible home and plans BEFORE it gets built.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Please take time to get yourself checked—whether or not you carry a breast cancer gene. Genetics are only one part of the picture; environmental and other risk factors can affect anyone.

Schedule your recommended screenings, know your normal, and perform regular self-checks. If you notice any changes, please contact your healthcare provider.

This cause is especially meaningful to us because several dear friends have battled breast cancer—and thankfully, they have all survived. I’ve also had the privilege of learning about homeowner clients who have recently faced cancer and won their battles.
