Three and a half years later… she called me. And she started with, “I wasn't even sure if you were still in business.”
I said, “Well, I'm here!” 😂
She had been a client years ago, and although we hadn't worked together in quite some time, she told me she still remembered the impact we had on her mom.
Then, four days before, a tornado came through. A tree fell on their house. Now her family was suddenly dealing with an emergency, insurance, clearing out the home, and everything that comes with something like that.
And who did she think of? SO UNIQUE.
She called me on Friday night and said, “I know this is last minute. I know this is a stretch. I'm not sure if you can get your team together…”
Well… Challenge accepted. 😉
By Saturday, my team and I were there. We spent the weekend helping clear things out so the insurance company could come in and do what they needed to do.
But here's the part that really stayed with me. Her daughter told me that while we were there, her mom was completely focused. She was talking with us. She was engaged. She was ready to get things done.
And when we left? She immediately went back to worrying about everything.
That's when I knew that sometimes, our job is about so much more than organizing.
Sometimes it's about being the person who can walk into a difficult situation and help someone breathe, focus, and take the next step.
And sometimes you don't realize the impact you've made until YEARS later. Three and a half years.
A few follow-up calls. And when life got hard, she remembered me. That meant EVERYTHING.
This is why I do what I do. Because SO UNIQUE isn't just about getting things done.
It's about people. It's about trust. It's about showing up when you need us most.
And sometimes? It's about working a little miracle on a Saturday morning.
