Bobwhite Vines LLC

Bobwhite Vines LLC Located in Coffey Cnty, Ks, our vineyard grows some of the best ingredients for Kansas wineries. Please contact for pricing.

We are open year round for tours, educational opportunities, and participation in planting and harvest activities during the growing season. We are a production vineyard, nestled at the edge of the beautiful Kansas Flint Hills. Located on our farm that has been in our family for over 100 years. We are a Kansas Agritourism member and a member of the local Coffey County Chamber of Commerce. All of o

ur grapes are grown on property and then sold to various Kansas wineries. We no longer make our own wine, but still offer opportunities for scheduled events and stays in our onsite barndominium. We are open year round, but our winter hours vary, so please call to ensure we are availble for tours to visit the property. We grow five varieties of wine grapes in our vineyard, Chambourcin (Kansas state grape), Vidal Blanc, Marquette, Frontenac, and Itasca. We offer educational tours and visits to explain grape growing and harvesting processes to interested groups. We can also offer wine sensory experiences and lodging for additional costs.

Next Monday, we will begin harvesting our Vidal Blanc. It has been ripening beautifully all month long, but it's ready. We are anticipating 3 tons for delivery. Should make some delicious 😋 wine.

During our brief break last week, from harvesting, we focused on some maintenance to our cold room and our chillers. We scubbed and cleaned everything. We also applied two heavy coats of reflective elastomeric sealer to the exterior. The roof had previously been done, but we applied to all sun exposed sides.

We got some help today and finished off the Chambourcin. Loved watching our two oldest sons working side by side today, on land they love and grew up on. ❤️ Delivery set for tomorrow.

Our Chambourcin is ready to be picked. It looks beautiful and tastes even better. Someone please tell Allen not to eat what he picks, so we can save it to make wine, not fill his stomach....

Put the Frontenac in the books. All grapes delivered, crushed, and are becoming wine as I type. Next up will be our Chambourcin, but the question is, well, WHEN? The vines and fruit are giving us clues, so stay tuned here as we take a brief break from harvesting and go back to one of our 47 other vineyard jobs. Be well.

Okay peeps, get ready, the Marquette harvest begins tomorrow, 6:30am sharp. Many of the Bobwhite team will be staying at the farm the next few days, to git er done. Hoping to deliver on Wednesday. Next week, we will most likely start harvesting our Frontenac. That grape has become my ultimate favorite grape to grow, harvest, eat, harvest, eat, and the deliver what I didn't eat, while picking. Wishing everyone out there a continued safe and blessed harvest.
