Just finished the vacuum/pressure lines which go through a manifold at the ceiling, one feed per tank. The processes of vacuum, pressure, filling, emptying, and vent to atmo are controlled through 31 valves.

First pressure line, one of seven, is in (that black tube coming from the ceiling to the top of the closest tank).
In order to minimize moisture within the pipes, the compressed air will go into a coil in the the cooler. More on that later.
Next we'll install seven vacuum lines and finally, seven feed tubes at the bottom of each tank.

The build out continues: 5 process tanks ready, 2 to go. Next the pressure/vacuum manifold and access deck. We hope to be online in two months or so with 7 colors of enhanced wood as well as selected blanks of natural air dried Appalachian hickory.

The first of 7 process tank for 7 colors of chromL enhanced wood for pool cue shafts, game pieces, pen blanks, knife handles, inlays, lutherie parts, wooden clocks, shifter k***s, phone cases—anything that requires visual impact with superior density and wear resistance. Beyond Purpleheart, Pau Ferro, Ebony, Goncalo Alves, Blackwood, Rosewood, Lignum Vitae, Greenheart, and others, both from a technical standpoint and one of ecology—and with 40 years in woodworking and 15 years of experience in resin infusion, we're now well along with the ultimate build-out as a supplier for repeatable source material.
The process tanks will be oriented vertically but here we lay out the position of the sight glasses, a critical component to monitor resin levels.

A conversation recently with an advanced woodworker revealed an ugly hidden reality with perfect clarity: "I can't believe that the woodworking world, after all these years, still uses exotics and tropical wood as if it were alright"
Operating as Kingfisher WoodWorks LLC, we've manufactured wooden swords and staffs for 40 years. We stopped using exotics in the early 1990s! This while requiring wood denser than most native North American hardwoods and a tremendous temptation to continue with Ebony, Rosewood, Lignum Vitae etc, of which there was tremendous demand.
We'd found a spectacular southern Appalachian hickory from Tennessee and around 15 years ago, built equipment to densify the wood with acrylic resin through a vacuum/ pressure process similar to what's commonly known as "stabilization". This has been a huge success for us and the martial art community.

But some wood products require a catchy appearance, super smooth grain, high density and hardness: musical instrument parts (guitar fret boards, piano keys, woodwind barrels), pool cues, pen blanks, game pieces, knife handles, pistol grips, to mention a few.

Manufacturers of those products, and entrepreneurs looking to launch a unique idea, need a reliable and repeatable source in multiple colors and in volume. This is where chromL Enhanced Wood LLC comes in. We'll be up and running by late winter 2026. Stay tuned!
