Is your response to burnout effective, or is it instinctive?

Employees with dominant Relationship Building themes tend to respond to burnout by thinking about how their coworkers would feel in the same situation. But Gallup data show that this response is associated with a 35% increase in burnout symptoms, not a decrease. These employees experience a 43% reduction in burnout symptoms when they reflect instead on how they have approached similar situations before.

The same principle applies across all four CliftonStrengths domains. People with dominant themes in the Executing, Influencing and Strategic Thinking domains also turn to coping strategies that align with their natural patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. While those instinctive responses do help reduce burnout, other strategies are more effective than the default.

Keep asking the questions that stretch your thinking.

The biggest breakthroughs rarely begin with the biggest ideas. They often begin with one simple question that challenges the way you’ve always seen things.

What if there’s a better way?
What problem hasn’t been solved yet?
Who could benefit if I took action?
What’s possible if I stop thinking small?

The questions you ask today shape the decisions you make tomorrow. And those decisions have the power to change your business, your leadership, and your future.

Don’t underestimate the value of curiosity. Sometimes the question that seems small today becomes the foundation of something much bigger tomorrow.

So today, ask one question that makes you think differently.

💬 I’ll start:
What’s one question you’ve been avoiding because the answer might change everything?

A lot of people see growth as becoming more.

More successful.
More confident.
More experienced.
More influential.

But lately, I’ve realized that growth is often about letting go.

Letting go of the need to prove yourself.
Letting go of opportunities that don’t align with your purpose.
Letting go of the version of yourself that you’ve outgrown.

Some of the biggest breakthroughs I’ve experienced didn’t come from adding something new. They came from creating space for what was already waiting to develop.

As I continue building Infinite Growth Collective, I see this same pattern in the people we serve. Business owners, leaders, young people, and individuals in transition often aren’t lacking potential. They’re carrying things that are getting in the way of it.

So here’s something to think about:

What is one thing you need to release so you can continue growing?

Growth isn’t always about becoming more.

Sometimes it’s about becoming who you were meant to be all along.
