Sage Success Studio

Sage Success Studio Helping midlife women movers and shakers dial in their signature work and showcase their expertise. Did I think I’d stay the same? Impossible!!

What did I think would happen, writing a book like Embracing Autumn, unearthing the things that bring greater joy, saying ‘no’ to excellence and ‘yes’ to genius? And with every courageous step, I became more determined to not just do things the way I’d always done them. Here was an opportunity to come into greater alignment and I knew it would be a mistake to dismiss it. So I followed the thread,

the curiosity, and the delight, which led me farther away from the demands of a bustling, marketing agency and more toward the soulful working of helping women entrepreneurs and leaders do just what I was doing—excavating the rich treasure within and finding a profitable pathway for its most earnest expression and greatest good. That led me to create the SAGE Success Studio, an expansion of the 3E Marketing Solutions brand. At its core, it stands for sheer joy, audacious alignment, gracious living and everyday abundance. I knew that if I craved these in my life and business, then so did other women. I knew I needed to take 3E from the engine and primary driver and reposition it as the the support and the caboose. Through the months as things percolated and crystallized, I knew that the more I helped business women gain greater clarity and design concrete ways to serve others with their gifts and purpose, the more I would be helping myself. So, we’ve expanded the brand to primarily focus on group and 1:1 coaching, strategy sessions, experiential retreats and deep dive masterminds. We then guide women to the best suited business support that we, and our strategic partners, offer that will help a women reach her ideal clients and target market as she grows a thriving business or leads a dynamic team. It’s October, and so many life-changing things have happened for me in this bountiful, beautiful month. So, as Embracing Autumn turns two at this month, we thought it would be the perfect time to take the next, best step forward and introduce Sage Success Studio to the world. We look forward to sharing more about our mission and vision. We will elaborate on the the impact and influence we hope to spearhead. We’ll stand more bravely in the artful expression of our brilliance and will venture out more fully toward our unique edge and opportunities. The beauty of evolving and becoming is gaining insight into all the can truly be done as an entrepreneur and transformational catalyst. More than paying our light bill, we are intent on lighting up our corner of the world. We are dedicated to women’s leadership and empowerment, to building a tribe of tribe builders, and to collaborating and partnering with other mission-driven, movers and shakers.

To the one who made Christmas so magical for us, I cannot hear this album, and especially this song without tears and the fondest of memories! Missing these two more than I can say! Her tree and ornaments now merged with my own, her favorite music and her Italian food make this a tribute to our beautiful Mother and the way she and Dad celebrated through the years. Thinking of everyone who’s missing their parents through this season. May every carried on tradition bring you comfort and joy! 💗🎄

When I first moved to Nazareth in 1990, I was thirty years old and I didn’t speak more than a few sentences of Arabic. Each day was humbling—learning by listening to the children and women around me, laughing at my mistakes (and there are so many) and trusting that eventually I’d be able to speak that beautiful language. Slowly, and through the incredible patience of others, I did. Illhamdilla!

That season taught me what water knows:
you don’t have to have it all figured out — you just have to keep moving in the direction of your vision and calling.

Since then, life has carried me through much deeper waters — through loss, heartbreak, rebuilding, and beginning again.
Each time, when I thought the current had swept me too far, grace appeared like a gentle tide, carrying me farther than striving ever could.

And now, in this autumn season of life, I can see the thread running through it all — how every detour, delay, and difficult time was shaping me for the work I’m doing now.

This is what Signature Work really is: the lived expression of everything life has taught you, distilled into wisdom that flows through you to make a difference in the world.

No hustle. No chasing. No proving. No grind. Just moving and flowing forward — now more than ever, in alignment with what matters most.

Let’s continue to be like water, even in this season of autumn, finding our way through — with wisdom, grace and intention, in the cadence and rhythm of the work we were born to do.

Where in your life are you being invited to find your way through — to trust the flow, let grace carry you, and allow your wisdom to shape something new?

Who’s Afraid of Her Own Genius?

How different I am now then when I first penned these words ten years ago. I don’t know if this has happened to you, but somewhere along the way, I learned to make my genius more manageable.

If you’re like me and age has mellowed you. We’ve quieted our brilliance at times so others wouldn’t feel uncomfortable. We softened our edges so we’d be easier to receive.

Maybe it’s because we were more fierce and bold in our younger years, but have since minimized our wins because celebrating felt like bragging. Or maybe hardship and loss as tamed us and made us more timid. And we may have tucked away our wisdom, waiting for “permission” to shine.

But here’s what I’ve learned in this Kairos season, this appointed time in the autumn of our lives:

Our genius is a beautiful, sacred blend of God-given gifts, lived experience, and the wisdom we’ve gathered through the decades.

At this stage of life, our genius isn’t loud — it’s luminous.
It’s steady, seasoned, and deeply rooted. It’s the kind of brilliance that guides, uplifts and leaves a legacy.

And yet, we may still hesitate — not because we lack purpose, but because we’ve spent a lifetime caring, serving, and showing up for everyone else. It’s time to rise up again—or maybe for the very first time—to what we’ve been gifted for and the work that is ours to do.

Because now we know with all of our hearts that our light, gifts and genius are meant to illuminate the path for others, not meant to be hidden away or minimized—but meant to be shared. We can receive it all with gratitude and then give it away in generosty!

Let’s not keep our deepest and best from those we’re most meant to serve, who need most what we’ve been blessed to give them. Whose afraid of her own genius? Not us anymore!💗

Embracing Autumn
Chapter 2: It’s Always Something

Life has a way of handing us challenges we may never asked for or didn’t see coming — divorce, caregiving, loss, transitions, business shifts. I’ve walked through each of these, and I know how heavy it can feel when everything familiar changes.

But here’s what I’ve learned: not every storm is meant to destroy us. Many come to refine us. They strip away what doesn’t matter so we can stay true to what does. They teach us to honor our gifts and capacity, to focus on the work we believe that God has entrusted to us, and serve the people we’re most meant to serve.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by all the noise, but you don’t have to walk this road alone. My heart and mission in this Sage community is to walk alongside women who are ready to open their gifts, step into Kairos timing, and continue growing even through trials, challenges and hardship.

You’re stronger than you know. And the work you’re called to? It still matters. It still has life. It still has purpose. And it’s often your crucible that forges your character and not only builds reslience and tenacity, but greater compassion, empathy and understanding for those you serve. Our deepest service often comes from our greatest tests and trials.

What lesson from a past hardship has helped you refocus on what matters most? How has inspied you to do your most signature work in this season of your life?

Cardamom, Coffee, and the Gift I Would Have Missed

In Chapter 1, I share a story about my early years in living in Nazareth. Perfectionism had me stressing over making Arabic coffee “just right.” I wanted to master it, to prove I could do it as well as the women around me.

What I see now is how much pressure I carried to get everything perfect, even in the smallest details. How grateful I am that I didn’t miss this beautiful lesson that carried me through all of my years in that idyllic neighborhood.

Having bolied many pots of coffee all over my stove, (IYKYK) I decide to ask my guest to make the coffee for us and something shifted. It helped be shift from striving to learning, from proving to receiving.

Over time, with the help of my neighbor Nadia’s handwritten instructions, (I still have the index card to this day) I grew to masterfully make coffee like a local. But it didn’t happen without first giving myself permission to let go of perfectionism.

Now in this rich and vibrant autumn season, even late autumn, I’ve have come to value and enjoy freedom from perfectionism. I’ve learned (and am still learning) to let it fall away like leaves. In it’s place has come a kinder, more gracious approach.

Like me, I’m sure you’ve come to embrace the gifts of presence, wisdom, and teachability. Flourishing isn’t about flawless ex*****on — it’s about staying open to the lessons that keep arriving with each new season.

Looking back, what messages about perfectionism defined your earlier years — and how do you see them differently now?

PS Though I made the coffee myself, the coffee and Arabic cookies were brought to me from my lifelong friend and nextdoor neghbor, Ros! Shukran jazeelan! Loved spending time with you! ☕️💗

In Chapter 1 of Embracing Autumn, I opened with this quote from the ancient poet. Hafiz, “There are so many gifts unopened from your birthday, there are so many hand-crafted presents that have been sent to you by God.”

What if that’s true of us, too? What if our autumn years aren’t about winding down, but about continuing to unwrap the gifts God planted within us long ago — gifts of wisdom, courage, creativity, compassion, leadership, and love?

Every trial you’ve endured has shaped you. Every joy has ripened you. Every loss has deepened you. These, too, are gifts — not meant to remain hidden, but to be opened, shared, and poured out into the world.

We don’t have to wait for someone to give us permission. This is the season to step forward, to honor our bandwidth, and to give the very best of ourselves to the people we are most meant to serve.

So today, I invite you to pause, breathe, and ask yourself:
What unopened gift is waiting inside me?

What difference could it make if I dared to open it?
Who is waiting on the other side of my “yes”?

The world needs what only you carry. Don’t let your gifts go unopened. Open them. Offer them. Let them bless others. That is your life and legacy.

Which gift do you sense a calling to open in this autumn season of your life— and what’s one thing you can do today to use it to make a difference in even one person’s life.
