Yesterday, some of our team spent the afternoon at DCCH Center for Children and Families in Fort Mitchell, KY, cleaning windows to brighten the spaces of this incredible nonprofit. Even our CEO, Ed Zumbiel, jumped in as “Chief Window Washer,” making sure every pane met Zumbiel standards!

Volunteering with DCCH gave us a chance to work together outside the office and support a local organization doing vital work for children and families in our community.

What a great way to start the day! 💚 Our team spent the morning volunteering with the amazing GO Pantry, packing summer GO Boxes. These boxes help kids facing food insecurity by providing meals when school is out.

GO Boxes are filled with several breakfasts, lunches and dinners for each identified child. These boxes help bridge the nutrition gap for children facing food-insecurity during times when school meals are unavailable.

Huge thanks to GO Pantry for all you do to support our community. We’re proud to be a small part of it!

This morning, the Zumbiel team came together for a flag-raising ceremony in honor of Memorial Day. It was a time to pause and reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our country.

We were honored to have veterans from our team lead the ceremonial lowering, folding, and raising of the flag.

To all who served and to those who gave everything, thank you. We remember you, we honor you, and we are forever grateful for your sacrifice.

Green Forests Work x Zumbiel
We partnered with the incredible Green Forests Work (GFW) team to restore 16 acres of formerly mined land near Hazard, Kentucky. This effort supports the 2025 phase of restoring an additional 252 acres of land across Knott and Letcher Counties.

Coming Spring 2025:
🌳 176,000 trees will be planted
🌱 1,250 lbs of native grasses and wildflower seeds will be spread

These efforts to restore degraded lands help promote healthy, productive forests, improve air quality, enhance biodiversity, and increase forest resiliency. Plus, they create local job opportunities for equipment operators, nursery workers, and tree planters. We’re excited to be part of such an impactful project with GFW!
