There’s something powerful about watching young people advocate for themselves.

I had the opportunity to serve as a mentor during the 8th Grade Report Card Success Conferences at ABGS Middle School. Students reflected on their progress, talked through challenges, and set SMART goals to successfully finish the school year and prepare for the transition to high school.

Proud to stand alongside fellow community mentors showing up for the next generation. The future is bright. ✨

From our community to the Capitol.

We brought our students to Albany to meet the people shaping our state and walk the halls where decisions are made. They shook hands with legislators and saw firsthand that their voices belong in every room.

Representation. Conversation. Inspiration.

Exposure changes perspective. Perspective changes trajectory.

The goal is simple. Make sure they understand the world is bigger than what they see every day and that they absolutely have a place in it.

What a day! 💛 Our community showed up and showed out for the 8th Annual Back to School Community Event! From free school supplies to laughter, music, and connection — this was more than an event, it was love in action. 🖤

I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you—every vendor, volunteer, donor, family member, community member, board member, elected official, and our amazing food sponsors—from the bottom of my heart for your contributions and participation in Naeem Justice’s 8th Annual Back to School event.

The day was truly amazing—not just about giving out bookbags and family fun, but also about supporting our local businesses, sharing resources, and reconnecting with one another. We had incredible vendors showcasing their businesses and sharing free resources for families in need, and it was just beautiful to see everyone come together as a community.

So again, I’m deeply grateful. And here’s my call to action: let’s stay connected and keep building together. Next year can be even bigger, but I can’t do it without all of you. Please connect with me and with each other so we can continue to grow this amazing community spirit.
