Last Sunday, May 17, The Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra in partnership with Northern Virginia Hispanic Chamber delivered an extraordinary celebration of Latin American musical heritage, bringing together some of the finest classical musicians in the region for an unforgettable evening under the direction of Maestro A. Scott Wood. The concert showcased the richness, passion, and diversity of Latin American composers through an ambitious program featuring 11 musical works representing more than nine distinguished composers from across the region.

The evening celebrated not only exceptional musical artistry, but also the cultural legacy and creative brilliance of Latin America. Each piece carried its own identity, rhythm, and emotional depth, captivating the audience from beginning to end.

Alex Karp CEO of Palantir has a message for anyone banking on their college degree to protect them from AI: it won’t.

“There are basically two ways to know you have a future,” the Palantir CEO said in a recent interview on TBPN. “One, you have some vocational training. Or two, you’re neurodivergent.”

“AI will destroy humanities jobs,” Karp said at the World Economic Forum in Davos earlier this year. “You went to an elite school, and you studied philosophy. Hopefully, you have some other skill, that one is going to be hard to market.”
