Congratulations to Ahmad Ward, Executive Director of Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park, on being named Board President of the Southeastern Museums Conference at SEMC’s 75th anniversary conference in Winston-Salem.

We have the privilege of working alongside Ahmad and the Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park team and have seen firsthand how deeply they understand that preserving history means making it matter to the people who come next. SEMC is in good hands!

FSC was proud to be part of SEMC 2026, where CEO Courtney Young and Evelyne Del presented “Curating the Future: Legacy, Storytelling, and Multigenerational Museum Engagement.”

It's been a busy and exciting few weeks for the ForeSight team, full of sharing, learning, supporting, connecting and being in the rooms where important conversations are happening.

We had a great time at the SC African- American Tourism Conference in Charleston!

ForeSight CEO Courtney Young moderated the opening session, Beyond Tourism: Building Black Wealth Through Culture, while team member Evelyne Del led Finding the Money: Grants, Accommodations, Tax, Sponsorships & Funding.

As always, it was great to connect, contribute and spend time with the SCAAT community!
