At LTB Consulting Group, LLC, relationships are at the heart of everything we do.

Our Founder and President, Coach Shay Samuels, is always seeking opportunities to build meaningful partnerships that create lasting impact within the communities we serve. While many organizations focus on quantity, Coach Shay has long believed that quality relationships produce the greatest results.

During the City of Knoxville Annual Breakfast on June 4, 2026, she connected with business leaders, procurement professionals, community stakeholders, and emerging entrepreneurs who share a commitment to strengthening our local communities.

These conversations are more than networking opportunities—they are the foundation for collaboration, innovation, and community growth. We are grateful for every connection made and look forward to the partnerships that will emerge from them.

Strong relationships build strong communities, and that's a value we remain committed to every day.

Ready to finish the week strong? A great leader doesn't just manage tasks; they manage morale.

Here are three simple, high-impact ways great leaders celebrate their employees on Friday:

👏 The Public Shout-Out: Highlight a team or individual win in the last team huddle.

💬 The Encouraging Message: Send a simple note or "blessing" to the team chat, acknowledging their work and wishing them a great weekend.

🫡 The Early Sign-Off: If targets are met, offer an early close to the day as a tangible reward for productivity.

CTA: Which one of these recognition strategies are you implementing for your team this Friday? Let us know in the comments!

Happy Memorial Day!

Today is a day many of us pause to honor, reflect, and rest. But while we take time away from the demands of leadership, it’s also important that we intentionally refuel ourselves mentally, emotionally, and professionally.

As a thank you to leaders everywhere, I’ll be facilitating a special FREE Global Leadership Class today at 12:00 PM EST on LinkedIn.

Topic: “You Can’t Pour From an Empty Cup”

This conversation is designed for leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, healthcare workers, ministry leaders, and change-makers who spend so much time pouring into others that they often forget to pour back into themselves. We’ll discuss burnout, balance, leadership wellness, and practical ways to reset and refuel while continuing to lead with purpose.

Take this time to recharge, reconnect, and remember that healthy leaders build healthy communities.

Many healthcare professionals are still showing up, still working, still leading…
…but internally, they’re tired.

Today we talked about the importance of recognizing the signs before burnout begins affecting:

🗣️ Your communication
👨‍❤️‍👨 Your relationships
😫 Your emotional well-being
💡 And your ability to lead effectively both at work and at home

💭 My question for you tonight is:

What principle will you begin putting in place to refuel yourself intentionally?

Tomorrow’s session continues the conversation:

🔥 May 8th – “You Can’t Pour From an Empty Cup”

Because constantly pouring into everyone else without restoring yourself eventually catches up with you.

Happy Nurses Week - 🩺 Burnout is real.

And if we’re honest…
Most nurses aren’t ignoring opportunities like this because they don’t care.

They’re exhausted.

They’re balancing:
☑️ Overbooked schedules
☑️ Training new hires
☑️ Long shifts
☑️ Heavy emotional loads
☑️ And still trying to show up for everyone else

So when they finally get a moment to breathe…

They use it to recover.

And I understand that.
That’s why today’s session is not another “training.”

It’s 20 minutes to RESET.

20 minutes to:
🛑 Pause
👃🏽 Breathe
⛽ Refuel
🖇️ Reconnect with yourself outside of the pressure

And after taking the time to join our first session, here’s what one nurse had to say about the experience. 🎥👇🏽

Nurses Week is coming… and I want to say something that we don’t say enough.

The people who take care of everyone else…
are often the ones carrying the most.

They show up tired.
They lead while empty.
They give, even when they don’t feel poured into.

And somewhere along the way, we started expecting that to be normal.

This Nurses Week, I’m creating space to do something different.

Not another training.
Not another checklist.

But a Leadership Refuel™ experience.

A space for healthcare professionals to:
Breathe
Reset
Reconnect with purpose
And remember who they are outside of the pressure

If you are a healthcare leader, nurse, or someone who supports those in this field…

This week is for you.
And if you’re an organization that knows your team needs more than just recognition…

Let’s talk about how we support them long-term.

An employee asks for help.
The leader responds:

“I hired you to do the work. It’s not my responsibility to help you.”

Pause.

Is this empowerment… or abandonment?

There’s a difference between expecting accountability and refusing support.

Total empowerment does not mean leaving your team to struggle alone.

It means equipping them with clarity, tools, guidance, and confidence — so they can succeed independently.

Leaders don’t build strong teams by withholding direction.
They build strong teams by setting them up for success.

Now I’m curious —

If you were the leader in this situation, how would you respond?
