Holiday market prep, two quick tips 🎄🕯️

1️⃣ Set your table up for gift shoppers
Holiday shoppers usually aren’t buying for themselves.
They’ve got a list.
Teacher. Neighbor. Mail carrier. Mother-in-law.
So help them work through that list.
Group a section by price with a simple sign.
Keep a few candles already tucked into inexpensive gift bags, ready to grab and go.
When someone can look at your table and think “that’s my coworker, done,” you’ve made their day easier.
And easy sells.

2️⃣ Pack your year round best sellers too
It’s so easy to go all in on holiday scents right now.
But not everyone wants their house smelling like Christmas.
Some people just want the candle they already love.
Chad and I always bring our best sellers to holiday markets, and they move just like they do the rest of the year.
They’re your best sellers for a reason. Don’t leave them at home.

A little check in for my candle makers.

You emailed your customers this week, right? Released the fall scents you already have ready instead of buying more, right? Reached out to a shop you’d love your candles in, right?

And you stepped away from the candle making for a minute to do something just for you, right?

If you did even one of these, I’m proud of you. Running a candle business is a lot, and the behind the scenes stuff is what actually grows it.

Candle Business Tips.
If you sell the same scent in candles, wax melts and room sprays…display them all together. This will show off to the customers what options you have in their new favorite scent. It makes upselling those room sprays so much easier. We have more than doubled our room spray sales since we moved them from their own dedicated section to being right next to the candles.
