The SoGal Foundation has joined forces with high-profile organizations such as Winky Lux, bluemercury, twelveNYC, Twilio, the Walmart Foundation's Center for Racial Equity, and other backers to present financial assistance to Black female-identifying and gender-nonbinary entrepreneurs. Through this cooperative effort, $10,000 and $5,000 cash grants are available to those who qualify.

To qualify, you should:

– self-identify as a Black woman or Black nonbinary entrepreneur (inclusive of multiracial Black women and multiracial Black nonbinary folks)

– have a legally registered business

– plan to seek investor financing in order to scale, now or in the future

– have a scalable, high-impact solution or idea with the ambition to be the next billion dollar business.

Rolling applications for Black women and Black nonbinary founders across the globe. Grantees receive $10-$5K cash grants and mentorship.

The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) has issued its 2023 National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week Award Call for Nominations.

The 2023 National MED Week Awards honor fifteen remarkable organizations, businesses, and individuals who have elevated their work to support minority business enterprises. Those recognized will be those that have shown excellence and success in areas such as innovation, customer service, community involvement, and business growth.

Nominations are now open to celebrate those who have made a significant difference in the arena of minority enterprise development.
