As the weather cools down, rodents, spiders, stink bugs, and roaches often try to make their way indoors in search of food, warmth, and shelter.

Now is a great time to get ahead of the problem before those fall pests move in.

At Pesty Phil’s Pest Control, I help protect homes from seasonal pest issues so you can stay comfortable as the seasons change.

I wanted to share a real example of why rodent issues should never be ignored.

On this job, I found a rat entry point and chewed wires in the attic/crawlspace area. Rodents don’t just make noise — they can cause real damage once they get inside a home. They’ll use small openings to get in, nest in hidden areas, contaminate insulation, and chew on wiring, which can become a serious problem.

If you’re hearing scratching, chewing, or movement in your attic or crawlspace, don’t wait and hope it goes away.

I’ll inspect the area, look for possible entry points, and help you come up with a plan to protect your home.

Seeing tiny fuzzy flies around your sink, shower, tub, or floor drain? That could be drain flies. 🚿🪰

Drain flies are often a sign of buildup inside drains where they breed and multiply. While they may be small, they can quickly become an annoying problem if left untreated.

Pesty Phil’s Pest Control can help identify the source and get you on the right path to reducing drain fly activity in your home.

🐍 A Cool Backyard Encounter!

While working in my yard today, I came across this beautiful Black Rat Snake.

Even though they can be a little startling when you first see one, Black Rat Snakes are non-venomous and are actually some of the best neighbors you can have around. They help control mice and rats naturally, making them an important part of Arkansas’s ecosystem.

As the owner of Pesty Phil’s Pest Control, I always enjoy opportunities to teach people about the difference between beneficial wildlife and true pest problems. Not every snake needs to be feared, and this one was simply passing through, doing its job.

I admired it from a safe distance and let it continue on its way.

Have you ever found a Black Rat Snake in your yard?

🇺🇸 Proudly serving Hot Springs Village and the surrounding area with honest, professional pest control.
