Count Feeds: Counting feeds is more about the quality in each feed as well as range. Feed on demand, if baby has had multiple feeds and sleeps throughout the night let them rest! 8-12 is a range

Weight: Baby should be back birth weight by Day 14 if not consult your healthcare professional

Diaper Changes: A good rule of thumb is to have as many dirty diapers as your newborns age, count only diapers that have more than a quarter size mess (don’t count smears)

Knowing your newborn's stomach size is crucial to avoid overfeeding while breastfeeding. Newborns have tiny stomachs, so overfeeding can lead to discomfort, excessive spitting up, and stress mom out feeling like she can’t keep up with supply and demand. Feeding in accordance with their stomach capacity promotes healthy digestion and helps establish proper feeding habits from the start
