The Political Reality We Don’t Talk About…,

Can we have an honest conversation about something we all know but rarely say out loud?

Every organization has politics. Yours included.

I don’t care how flat your structure is. How transparent your culture claims to be. How much you emphasize meritocracy. Power dynamics exist. Competing agendas exist. Informal influence networks exist.

And right now, your high-potential managers are trying to navigate all of it with absolutely no roadmap.

Some figure it out. They watch, they learn, they build the right relationships, they position themselves strategically.
Others—often your most principled, integrity-driven leaders—stay stuck.

Not because they’re less capable.
