37 years ago my aunt Viola flew from Louisiana to Yakima to attend my dad’s funeral. She was the first family member that I remember meeting of my dad’s side of the family. Since that time, she has been a study influence on my life. She’s been more of a mother to me than an aunt. It was a joy to help her celebrate her 90th birthday. She’s the only one left of 9 siblings. The occasion was for her but it blessed me as well. I love you auntie!
