I've been thinking about this a lot lately. As Professional Organizers, people think that our homes are ALWAYS clean, and put together. That is definitely not the case, especially in my home 🤷♀️. The key though is having systems in place for how we do laundry , put away groceries, do the dishes, etc. This is essential for maintaining your home when life gets hectic!
If you would have walked into my house this past week, you would have never believed that I'm a home organiser. Being a mom of 3 with kids in a hybrid school (kid do school at home 2 days/week), sports practices, theatre, piano, etc., took priority last week and that meant there were piles of laundry, non-perishable groceries sitting on the counter and school work sprawled out across our dining room table.
If I didn't already have systems in place, and know where everything lives, "a place for everything, and everything in its place", I would have been an overwhelmed wreck! When I finally had a moment to come up and breathe though, tidying up was so easy because we know and use the systems that we've put in place. 🧹🪄
