Kristi Davis - Grateful Journeys Encouragement, reflection, cozy living & creating a life you lovešŸ¤Ž I have owned and operated a business in the Northeast area of Houston since 2010.

Recently (2022) I began to think about pursuing a career in Real Estate and took the plunge! Health & Wellness will always be a part of my DNA so I think there is a way I can continue to help you 'Live Well'. This means loving the physical space you live and work in, and also making your physical wellness a priority. I now love to help my clients navigate the process of selling, buying or investing, or relocating. I feel like my job is to educate and make the journey as seamless as possible. I can't wait to help YOU with all your home buying and selling needs.

Well…this feels appropriate. šŸ˜‚šŸ¤Ž

I meant to share this a few days ago and, well…life happened.

Which makes this little page from A Season of Becoming feel even more fitting today.

Begin where you are.

No perfect words.
No perfect timeline.

I think sometimes we put off starting—or starting again—because we feel like we missed the ā€œrightā€ time.

The beginning of the week.
The beginning of the month.
When life settles down.
When we have more time.

But maybe the right time is simply…when we’re ready.

So here’s your reminder (and apparently mine too šŸ˜‚):

You don’t have to catch up.

You can just begin where you are. šŸ¤Ž

Junior year. 🄹 How are we already here?!

Ashlynn started her junior year yesterday, and I’m not sure I’m prepared for how fast these next two years are going to go. 😭

It’s such a weird season of motherhood. You’re so excited watching your kids grow up and become their own people…while simultaneously wanting time to SLOW DOWN just a little.

And lately I’ve realized that while she’s figuring out who she’s becoming, I’m doing a little of that myself.

For so many years, so much of life revolves around raising your kids—school, activities, schedules, practices, all the things. And then somehow you look up and they’re getting older…and life starts shifting a little.

Maybe that’s part of why A Season of Becoming has felt so personal to me.

I used to think ā€œbecomingā€ was about figuring out who you’re going to be.

Now I think we probably have lots of seasons of becoming throughout our lives.

She’s in hers.

I’m in mine.

And apparently neither one of us is slowing down anytime soon. šŸ˜‚šŸ¤Ž

Welcome. šŸ¤Ž

I thought it might be nice to slowly share A Season of Becoming with you…one page at a time.

This is the very first page.

Before the prompts.

Before the journaling.

Just a welcome.

Because I wanted anyone opening these pages to feel like they weren’t doing this alone.

There is no rush.

No perfect timeline.

No pressure to have everything figured out.

Just begin where you are.

If you’d like to follow along over the next several weeks, I’d love to have you here. šŸ¤Ž

And if at any point you decide you’d like your own copy, A Season of Becoming is available on Amazon.

For anyone who needs to hear this today. šŸ¤Ž

✨I’ve never been very good at journaling.

✨I’ve always admired the people who have boxes of notebooks filled with years of their thoughts.

šŸ“•Give me a blank notebook and tell me to ā€œjust write,ā€ and I’ll probably stare at the page wondering where in the world I’m supposed to start.

āœļøThat’s actually one of the biggest reasons I created A Season of Becoming as a guided journal instead of a blank one.

ā˜•ļøI wanted it to feel less like homework…and more like sitting down with a friend over a cup of coffee—or maybe a glass of w**e šŸ·ā€”having the kind of conversation that helps you slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

šŸ¤ŽWhether you already love journaling or you’ve always wanted to but weren’t sure where to begin, my hope is that these pages simply help you pause, think a little deeper, and make space for yourself.

šŸ“–For me, the prompts made all the difference. They helped me move past the blank page and into honest reflection.

Maybe they’ll help you too. šŸ¤Ž

ā¬‡ļøIf a guided journal sounds like something you’d enjoy, I’d love for you to take a look at A Season of Becoming.

There are so many little pieces that go into bringing an idea to life that no one really sees. šŸ¤Ž

When I started creating A Season of Becoming, I definitely wasn’t thinking ahead to things like author photos, what I was going to wear, or how in the world I was going to actually put myself out there and share it. šŸ˜‚

Thankfully, I have some pretty amazing people in my corner.

A huge thank you to my sweet friend Monica Hindmarsh with Monica Hindmarsh Photography for making this photo session feel comfortable, easy and actually fun—and for capturing exactly the feeling I wanted for Grateful Journeys!!

And to Mackenzie Hensley with Jack & Monroe Boutique for helping me pull together the perfect looks when I need them!! šŸ¤Ž

Creating this book may have started as something very personal, but bringing it into the world has reminded me just how much the people who support & encourage us along the way matter so much!!

Feeling very grateful for my circle. šŸ¤Ž
