Changes to Net metering will continue to happen across the county. There are still a hand full of energy companies that offer some form of net metering. Simply put net metering is when the energy provider (reliant or shell or whomever) gives you money for access power your produce that you do not use.

More than likely net metering will be gone by next year unless you already have solar and a plan that has net metering.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCMENT:

I have had this statement come up more than you can imagine “the other roofer told me they would “eat my deductible” I really trust Joe Ochoa Roofing and I want to use you all so can you do that”

Simple answer NO… it’s just not us, the roofer on the line. They are now going after You! the home owner and not just with a $2000 fine but with the potential far worse things.

Remember this storm will cost billions the last remaining insurance companies who still provide roof coverage. They are already doing Audits to roofers to make sure all deductibles are paid and the work is done.
They are not just taking an invoice from the roofer for “proof” anymore, they are actually auditing our books to and all paperwork associated with each project.

Please do not put yourself and the roofer in a position to break the law or to loose business to some roofer who does not care and will more than lickely do an inferior job and who won’t be there in 5 years to fix the issues they created.

Of course if you do we are here to help and the cost you saved will more than likely be half as much as you need to fix their mistakes.

Remember over the 52 years of business we have gone through this cycle hundreds of times.
