Part of The Heath and Human Services (HHS)HIPAA requirement for covered entities is to ensure processes are in place to continue services in the event of a loss of critical infrastructure. I'm really proud of the Dr.'s and nurses already operating under stressful circumstances pulling this off. Prayers go out to everyone effected by this event. Houston strong!

Houston’s largest public hospital was planning to evacuate Sunday afternoon as water in the basement endangered its electrical system. Several other hospitals and nursing homes were also forced to evacuate.

Heads-up! Bad guys are exploiting the Hurricane Harvey disaster. There are fake pages, tweets are going out with fake charity websites, and phishing emails are sent out asking for donations to Relief Funds that they keep for themselves.

Don't fall for any scams. If you want to make a donation, go to the website of the charity of your choice and make a donation. Type the address in your browser or use a bookmark. Do not click on any links in emails or text you might get. Whatever you see in the coming weeks about Hurricane Harvey disaster relief... THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK.

Don't get "Tanked". This attack was on a casino, but it could easily have been a Dr's office in a waiting room. Read on to find out what they found in their investigation. Then talk to your IT service provider to make sure ALL your IoT devices are in fact secure.

A hacker used a fish tank to hack into a casino, which could change the way IoT technology is handled by businesses.
