I wanted to let my friends in north to northeast Texas and northwest Louisiana of severe weather this afternoon into this evening, The red area below in north central Texas signifies an enhanced area of severe thunderstorms that will erupt throughout this area this afternoon with winds in excess of 55 mph, hail greater than 1 inch, and a good possibility of Tornadic activity from west of Dallas to, through, Dallas and on into northwestern Louisiana by late evening. This activity will start between 1 an 2 p.m. this afternoon. Be prepared to take cover immediately this afternoon as this severe weather moves through. The blue area has a chance of severe thunderstorms with only a a marginal chance in the yellow area. The green area will have thunderstorms that are below the sever thunderstorms criteria.
