Blogging in 2026? For a while, it felt like blogging was one of those things people had mostly written off. Social is faster and can provide instant feedback, video is everywhere, and AI started to make it seem like maybe nobody needed or wanted to read a full article anymore.
But the more I look at how search is changing, the more I think useful website content still matters - maybe even more than it did a few years ago.
Not because you need to be cranking out blog posts constantly, but because useful content adds up. Each well-written, properly formatted article gives people another way to find you, understand what you know, and get a clearer sense of what your business is actually about.
That helps people, it helps search engines understand your site and it can strengthen the topics you want your business to be known for.
With AI search becoming part of how people find answers now, having clear, useful content on your own website gives those systems more to understand, reference, and potentially cite too.
I still think the best approach is pretty simple:
1- Write something useful.
2- Answer a real question.
3- Make it easy to understand.
4- Keep repeating steps 1–3 consistently, because this kind of work is not instant. It builds on itself and compounds over time.
I’m curious how other business owners are feeling about blogging right now.
Are you still doing it?
Thinking about starting again?
Or does it feel like one more thing on an already very long list?
I’d genuinely love to hear where people are at with it. If you've been blogging, feel free to share you link below so we can all check it out! 👇
