​You walk into a local mixer just to get cornered by a retail realtor or a transactional insurance agent. They are great people, but they aren't selling at your level. They want quick transactional sales, while true B2B requires deep, ongoing strategic relationships.

I picked Houston for a reason.

Actually… three.

1. I can drive there.
No flights. No rental cars. No wasted time. Just get in, go, and start stacking rooms.

2. It’s a massive business hub.
If you can’t find B2B conversations in Houston… that’s on you, not the city.

3. I looked it up.
Top networking cities in the U.S.
Denver came in at #1.
Houston was right behind it at #2.

So this isn’t random.

This is a test in one of the best possible environments to prove a point:

You don’t need years to build a network.
You need the right rooms, the right conversations, and the discipline to follow up.

I’m giving myself 5 days.

No built-in connections.
No safety net.

Just a city full of strangers and a plan to turn conversations into real relationships.

By the end of the week, the goal is simple:

Build enough momentum to launch a room.

And I’m documenting the entire thing.

The good.
The bad.
The “why the hell did I go to that event?” moments.
