Last week, our Westlake Asian Organization (WAO) employee resource group hosted an inspiring AANHPI Heritage Month celebration at our Houston office.

The event featured a keynote on “Power in Unity and Community-Building,” followed by cultural exhibits highlighting Asian art, history, and traditions, and a showcase of Asian cuisine. Team members, leaders, and community partners came together to learn, connect, and honor the many contributions of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities.

Team members gathered to recognize the historical significance of Cinco de Mayo and celebrate Mexican culture through music, decorations and time together as a community.

We were honored to learn from Amanda N. McMillian and Latrina Sam Johnson, who shared thoughtful insights on what it truly means to give, grow, and collaborate with purpose.
