The DEA is warning that fentanyl is increasingly being found mixed with emerging synthetic substances such as:
• Xylazine
• Medetomidine
• Nitazenes
• Cyclorphine

Many of these substances are:
• Extremely potent
• Undetectable to the user
• Not approved for human use
• Resistant to standard overdose reversal measures

Some combinations may require multiple doses of naloxone.
Others may cause severe respiratory depression, prolonged sedation, tissue damage, infections, or death.

This is why awareness matters.

People cannot consent to risks they do not know are present.
