Are you looking for a new, refreshing way to clean your toilet or just trying to find a way to use up some old Alka-Seltzer tablets? Well, this tip to clean your toilet with Alka-Seltzer will do the trick.

To clean your toilet, just drop two Alka-Seltzer tablets into the toilet bowl and then wait about twenty minutes. Brush and scrub the toilet bowl, then flush the toilet. The citric acid and effervescent action of the Alka-Seltzer tablets clean toilets with little effort on your part!

Happy Wednesday All -Here's a great way to help you clean your shower curtains without throwing them away.

Just because your plastic shower curtain or liner gets dirty or mildewed doesn’t mean you have to throw it away. Try cleaning it in your washing machine with two bath towels on the gentle setting. Add 1/2 cup baking soda to your detergent during the wash cycle and 1/2 cup vinegar during the rinse cycle. Let it drip-dry; don’t put it in the dryer.

Happy Wednesday All! .. Here's a great cleaning tip on A fast way to Clean Your Bathroom!!

1. Grab a bag.
To start, hang a plastic grocery bag on the doorknob as a quick way to gather trash — the easiest way to instantly tidy any room.

2. First, flush.
Next, grab some bleach. Pour a cup into the bowl, and brush around the sides and under the rim. Let sit for five minutes, as you move on to the next task.

3. Shine up.
Fill a spray bottle with equal parts water and white vinegar. Spritz the solution onto paper towels or a microfiber cloth, and wipe away soap drips and toothpaste spatters on faucets, mirrors, countertops, and in the sink. If you really care what your visitors think, give spotty shower doors the same spray treatment.

4. Collect dirt.
Flip over one of the same vinegar wipe and run it across the back of your dusty toilet tank, then over, under, and around the seat. Flush the bleach that's been sitting in the bowl, toss the wipe into your doorknob bag, and move on.

5. Try this towel trick.
Don't worry if you're drying used bath towels — just put out fresh hand towels. They're the only ones short-term guests use anyway. Leave the others on the bar; just straighten them.

6. Make an exit.
Now it's time for the floor. Shake out your rug or bath mat to fluff it up so it looks recently vacuumed. Next, with a dampened paper towel, wipe the corners of the room, where most of the hair and dust collects. And don't forget to take the plastic bag with you when you leave!

Happy Monday All! .. Here's a great cleaning tip on How to get rid of mildew in your washing machine

Does your washing machine smell funky?
You’re probably using too much soap!!! The first line of defense is to use a high-efficiency (HE) detergent, which is effective in small doses. Next..check to see if your machine is level, If the floorboards under the machine have warped, it might not be draining properly. A repairman can place antishake pads under the machine to prevent shifting. Another possible culprit: liquid fabric softener. Its waxy base adheres to the outer tub, which makes it a breeding ground for mildew, If you use softener, add the smallest recommended amount. To get rid of the mildew odor, run an empty machine on the hottest setting with bleach or Affresh ($8, homedepot.com), a cleaner that deodorizes a washer’s interior. And after each load of laundry, leave the door ajar to allow the interior to dry.

Happy Friday All! Here’s a 3 step cleaning tip to assist those of you who have drapes in your home!

Step 1: Gently tug drapes to open pleats. Using a low setting and the brush attachment, vacuum each panel. For delicate or loosely woven fabrics, hold the brush an inch away to avoid pulling.

Step 2: Pay special attention to the lower foot of the drape and the hem, where dust and dirt accumulate.

Step 3: To remove smudges (the kind passing pets leave), apply baby powder to a clean toothbrush and gently brushes the spot. The powder protects the fabric and helps lift the dirt!!!

Now that the holidays are over and guest and family may have returned home..here's a quick cleaning tip to give you a boost in getting your house back in tip top shape.All you need is Coffee Grounds!!!

Use your morning pick-me-up to eliminate odors in the fridge. Simply place coffee grounds, new or used, in a bowl on a shelf. Replace them every two months for a fresh, slightly caffeinated smell.

Did you know that you can use Chalk to remove ring around the collar, draw over the stain with a piece of white chalk. Let it soak up the grease for a few minutes, then dust off excess chalk and launder as usual.

Shine brass using a dab of Worcestershire sauce or ketchup. Squeeze the condiment onto a cloth, rub the item, then rinse with water and dry with a towel.

Here's a Tidy-up Tuesday Cleaning Tip that I'm sure all women with children or nieces and nephews can utilize in their home...... Use hairspray to erase crayons!!

Did your child or a child you know use the painted walls as a canvas? Mist them with hairspray and wipe immediately to remove colored marker. For crayon, scrub with a toothpaste-covered toothbrush, or gently massage with baking soda and a damp microfiber cloth.
