It's time to celebrate! 🥳🥳🥳

April is the month of my business anniversary and it's one of my favorite times of the year because it's all about renewal and embracing the new.

Instead of focusing on a new "what" this year, I want to share my renewed "why."

The "why" of all of my businesses are to serve. It's a blessing to be a blessing!

With so much going on, it's more imperative than ever that we find ways to use our gifts and talents in service to others in our communities.

This year I'm endeavoring to serve in new ways, with new communities, and with a renewed focus!

Thank you to every client, project, and organization that I had the pleasure to serve these past years!!! 😍😍😍

After assembling a stellar team dedicated to service and defining and refining the project scope, our Project Management Day of Service (PMDOS) Project serving our nonprofit client was ready for kick-off!

Our team worked for hours to ensure we provided a solution to the problem we were presented.

Project management success starts with a clearly defined project scope. One of the first steps our Project Management Day of Service (PMDOS) Team spent a significant amount of time on was properly defining our Day of Service Project's Scope.

It's not just about enthusiasm, talent, or capacity, a clear project scope makes sure everything and everyone is in focused alignment.

As we continue our review of our Project Management Day of Service Project we want to introduce the nonprofit that we served. The organization is called Women On The Rise International, Inc. and it was founded in 2016 by Arlene Blake who desired to create a safe space that women can learn and empower one another.

Going through her own personal challenges, Arelene learned the power of community and intentional personal growth. Women on the Rise focuses on financial literacy, career development, entrepreneurship, and health and wellness for underserved communities.

Choosing the correct nonprofit to serve was very important to the team. We wanted to ensure that our time and talent would support a cause that we believed in.

Continuing the conversation about service we wanted to share how Making Straight Paths became a service organization and why we champion purpose projects.

Our Founder and President, Markita Samuel, has had a lifetime of service in various roles from middle school community service, to high school voter registration drives, law school fundraisers, and now her current board positions.

Her mentor once told her to, "Serve Baby Serve!" and that is what she believes is our main purpose in life.

A couple of months ago our firm had the privilege to execute a Project Management Day of Service (PMDOS) Project with a team of world-class Project Managers. The organization we served is a women's nonprofit based in Florida that focuses on providing educational and motivational events for women called, Women On The Rise International, Inc.
