Today, as Southwaste Disposal joins billions around the world in celebrating Earth Day, we’re taking a moment to reflect on its impact. First observed on April 22, 1970, Earth Day marked the beginning of the modern environmental movement in the United States—and the momentum to protect clean air, water, wildlife, and our natural resources has only grown since.
At Southwaste Disposal, we’re proud to play a role in building a healthier planet for future generations. Last year, our family of companies, recycled and treated more than 275,000,000 gallons of contaminated water. So far this year, we’ve already surpassed 78,000,000 gallons as we work toward our goal of 300,000,000 gallons.
Environmental responsibility is part of what we do every day—not just today. Because caring for our planet isn’t a once-a-year effort—it’s a commitment we carry forward, every single day.
