Have you ever felt anxious or a bit nervous when you are bout to deliver a lecture or seminar? How did you take care of it? Below are a list of things I do to get my mind in order.
⚡ 1. 60-Second Breath Reset
💨 Inhale for 4 counts → Hold for 4 → Exhale for 6 (Repeat 3–5 times)
• Calms your nervous system
• Clears mental fog
• Grounds you in the present moment
Why it works: It tells your body, “We’re safe, focused, and ready.
🚶 2. 2-Minute Walk or Stretch
Step away from your desk. Move your body. Roll your shoulders. Touch your toes.
• Increases blood flow
• Wakes up your posture
• Shifts your mindset instantly
Bonus: If possible, do it outside for a dose of fresh air and clarity.
🎧 3. Play a Power Song
One song that energizes you or makes you feel unstoppable. (Your favorite song)
• Boosts your mood
• Raises your vibration
• Connects you to your why
Tip: Keep a “Reset Playlist” on standby.
🙏 4. 1-Minute Gratitude Reset
Say out loud (or write down) 3 things you're grateful for-right now.
• Shifts your mindset from stress to strength
• Activates positivity and perspective
• Centers your heart before you lead, speak, or serve
🚿 5. Face Splash or Cold Water Reset
Splash cold water on your face-or rinse your hands under cold water for 20 seconds.
• Wakes you up instantly
• Resets your nervous system
• Breaks a low-energy loop fast
Use 1 or combine 2–3 for a full recharge.
And if you're prepping for something really important, anchor it with a short affirmation like:
“I am grounded. I am focused. I am ready💪
How about you, how do you combat this situation?
