I may not be able to work as fast as I could and do a few things, but I am able to at this point do a little bit. I've learned how to rest my eyes so that I can get things done and my desk is set back up, which is good

Meet Chris: a dedicated public safety hero who spent years in the fire and EMS industry, bringing care and comfort to those in need. But in 2021, his own health began to betray him. Battling back and hip issues, along with serious heart problems, Chris had no choice but to step away from his beloved work. Undeterred, he turned to another passion—IT consulting and computer training. Things were looking up... until July 2024, when fate took another harsh turn. Chris suffered a massive stroke and spent a week unresponsive in the hospital. As if that wasn’t enough, he endured four more strokes, leaving his vision severely affected.

Today, Chris can only manage an hour of computer work each day due to his vision problems. He’s unable to work full-time and is facing the added stress of needing to move from his current apartment for both financial and health reasons.

This is where YOU come in. We’re raising funds to help Chris with the costs of his move, medical bills, and most importantly, to see a specialized ophthalmologist. With surgery, there’s hope that Chris can regain his vision and begin rebuilding his life—one step at a time.
