At the heart of it..
I take a minimalist’s approach to birth, as well as in life, and adjust my level of care to the needs of my clients. I believe that you are your best advocate and that the purpose of my presence is to provide knowledge, insight, and physical comfort to you during the birthing process.
I have given birth naturally to one child, completed an in-person training workshop with CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association), as well as an in-person neonatal resuscitation workshop with the renowned midwife, Karen Strange. I have worked as a birth doula since 2015 and briefly worked as a midwife’s assistant at the West Houston Birth Center.
I believe that the way we communicate and the words we speak greatly shape how we view and move through the world. My hope is that by helping mothers actively engage in the birthing process and become their own advocates, I can help create a world in which women’s voices are heard and the words they say are valued.
