The National Weather Service will be hosting two FREE virtual Storm Spotter training courses this spring, open to the public and designed to help participants recognize and report severe weather.

This 2-hour webinar is ideal for:
✔️ Emergency management and public safety personnel
✔️ Weather enthusiasts
✔️ Former storm spotters
✔️ Anyone interested in becoming an NWS Storm Spotter
👤 Suitable for ages 12 and up

Training topics include:
• How thunderstorms develop
• Types of thunderstorms (single cells, multi-cells, squall lines, derechos, supercells)
• How to get and understand severe weather forecasts
• How to properly report storms to the NWS
• How to interpret radar data
