Mark Twain Rural Telephone & Communications is currently working with UtiliSource to create a complete GIS map of all our fiber optic facilities.

UtiliSource technicians will walk the path of every buried fiber optic cable and record the exact route into a detailed database. This important project will give us accurate, permanent records of our fiber plant. Better documentation helps prevent accidental damage during future underground construction and allows our crews to locate and repair cables much faster when issues do occur.

We ask for your patience while this work is underway. Mark Twain staff and UtiliSource personnel may need to be on your property to locate these facilities.

Mark Twain's Downtown Kirksville tower camera captured the exact moment a building partially collapsed on Washington Street Saturday morning.

We appreciate the quick response from local emergency personnel who helped secure the area.

Internet service for our fixed wireless subscribers in Downing, MO has been restored as of 10:45 AM.

We are currently operating on generator power until full electrical service is restored. Subscribers are encouraged to reboot their equipment, as many services automatically failed over to our Lancaster and Memphis towers during the outage.

Mark Twain will perform a network resync for Downing, Lancaster, and Memphis FWA subscribers once utility power returns.
