Service Update – Fiber Internet

We are currently aware of an issue impacting some Mark Twain fiber customers that is causing intermittent service interruptions.

This issue appears to have begun Saturday afternoon and has progressively worsened. Our team opened a support ticket with Adtran on Sunday, and we are actively working with their engineers to identify and resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

Areas currently affected include:
Bethel, Brashear, Durham, Greentop, Knox City, Leonard, Newark, Novelty, Philadelphia, Steffenville, Williamstown, and Wyaconda.

All other Mark Twain wireless and fiber services are not affected by this issue.

We understand how important reliable internet service is and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Our team is fully engaged and will continue working until service stability is restored.

We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Outage Update

Mark Twain subscribers in Anson, Kahoka, Canton, Monticello, and southern Marion County experienced an internet outage from 7:54 PM to 12:45 AM due to an equipment overheating issue at one of our fiber transport provider’s facilities.

Our network and outside plant teams quickly identified the source of the disruption, coordinated with the provider, and worked to restore service as fast as possible.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this caused and appreciate your patience while the issue was resolved. Thank you for being a valued Mark Twain subscriber.
