People ask me all the time, "Do you really like scrubbing toilets for a living?"
The honest answer?
No. I don't love scrubbing toilets.
What I love is what that clean toilet, freshly vacuumed floor, sparkling kitchen, or made-up bathroom means to the people I clean for.
I love helping busy parents who are trying to balance work, kids, sports, appointments, and everything in between. I love helping new moms, overwhelmed moms, retirees, people working long hours, those who physically can't keep up with their homes anymore, or honestly... anyone who simply wants a clean, peaceful space to come home to.
Because a clean home isn't just about having a clean house.
It's about having a clear mind.
It's about walking through your front door and feeling your shoulders relax instead of immediately noticing everything that still needs to be done.
It's about getting your evenings back. Your weekends back. Your family time back.
As I've gotten older—and especially since becoming a mom—I've realized something people used to tell me all the time: "Don't blink."
I used to think it was just something parents said.
Now I understand.
Life goes by so incredibly fast.
We spend so much of it rushing from one thing to the next, constantly doing, cleaning, folding, scrubbing, organizing, and checking things off our never-ending to-do lists. If I can take even one small thing off your plate so you can spend more time with your family, rest after a long day, or simply enjoy your home instead of working in it, then I've done exactly what I set out to do.
The truth is, I could have gone back to a traditional office job.
But I didn't want that.
I wanted to build something that truly helps people.
One of my favorite parts of this job is getting those text messages that say, "Jill, the house looks amazing!" or "It smells so good in here!" or "I had such a stressful day, and coming home to this completely turned it around."
Those messages never get old.
They remind me why I chose this path and give me even more motivation to keep growing.
If you know me personally, you know I've always been someone who loves helping others. I love being the person people can count on. If there's a way I can make someone's day a little easier, I'll do everything I can.
That's who I am.
And that's exactly what Simply Spotless by Jill has become.
At the end of the day, I'm more than just a cleaning business. I'm here to make your life a little easier. I'm here to lessen your load, give you back your time, and create a home that feels peaceful instead of overwhelming.
And can we please stop believing the myth that people who hire a house cleaner are lazy?
Because it's simply not true.
The people I clean for are some of the hardest-working people I know. They're raising families, working long hours, caring for loved ones, juggling endless responsibilities, or simply recognizing that their time is valuable.
Asking for help doesn't make you lazy.
It makes you human.
In fact, I think it makes you smart.
Life is busy enough. If you have the opportunity to take one thing off your plate so you can spend more time making memories, resting, or simply enjoying your home, why wouldn't you?
We're coming up on almost one year in business, and I honestly couldn't be more grateful. Thank you to every single client who has trusted me with your home. Thank you for supporting my small business, cheering me on, and allowing me to do something that truly fills my heart.
And... stay tuned.
Big things are coming for Simply Spotless by Jill. 💜✨
