Hello December and the last 31 days of 2021! Let's make this the best month we have. Some things you can do to prep for an even better start to 2022 ⁠

- Start by looking back to plan your future. Check in on ⁠
your goals that you made and write down ⁠
any progress, big or small⁠
- Time for yourself: Schedule your time off and not just for ⁠
family and all the ⁠
hustle and bustle of the holiday but true time-off for ⁠
yourself⁠
- Create Accountability: Write down your goals for 2022 ⁠
and work with your tribe, ⁠
mentors, colleagues and share what you are working on ⁠
and how you could use their support⁠
- If you like creating a word or phrase for the year: Start ⁠
thinking about your goals and what word best describes ⁠
you and the direction you want to take⁠
- Create a vision: Use Pinterest, create a wall of post-it's, ⁠
write your word in big letters at your desk, whatever ⁠
helps to reminds, energizes, and resonates with your ⁠
goals. ⁠

Discussions around talent attraction and management were a common theme at , a Powderkeg tech conference last week. If you drive down your main business street today, you will see a dozen or more "now hiring" signs and companies hurting for workers. It seems like everyone is trying to grow their capacity all at the same time.

While we are recruiting great talent, we also need to be aware of the relationship between HR and IT and how it can impact a successful onboarding experience. Whether you are hiring a handful of employees or dozens at a time, we need to have great processes, clarity of roles, and communication in place to get new employees up to speed and contributing more quickly. Without these we could continue to struggle in the war for talent as we see our employees leave for other opportunities.

Workspaces have changed dramatically in the last year. I now share a small office with my husband, the house has a pod of kids e- learning and nope the laundry and the dishes are not done. This is the we are rolling. It has many ups and downs but I love the sweet hugs and messages I get through the day and the lego people gifts that are on my laptop. What does your workspace look like? How are you blending it all?
