At our recent DonAtlas staff retreat, we created a Wall of Appreciation. Each team member added personal notes sharing what they genuinely appreciate about their colleagues.

It was simple. It was personal. And it was a powerful reminder that appreciation doesn’t always have to come from leadership — sometimes the most meaningful recognition comes from the people you work beside every day.

Because there’s a difference between being told you’re valued and truly knowing you’re valued.

💙 Celebrating Positivity. Honoring a Legacy.🧡

At DonAtlas, we believe the people who lift others up make all the difference. That’s why we’re proud to announce the recipient of our 3rd Annual Janeen Herrera Positivity and Optimism Award.

This award honors our dear friend Janeen Herrera, whose kindness, resilience, positivity, and unwavering spirit inspired everyone around her. Each year, we continue her legacy by recognizing those who bring those same qualities to DonAtlas.

Jessica was overwhelmingly recognized by her peers for her constant smile, willingness to help, uplifting spirit, and always-present “can-do” attitude. She truly represents the culture and heart of DonAtlas.

This year’s voting was closer than ever, so we were also proud to recognize Gabriella Costin and Mary Ruiz for the positive impact they make on those around them every day.

Every great event starts long before the guests arrive — with people, ideas, collaboration, and a commitment to doing things exceptionally well.

Our annual DonAtlas Staff Retreat gives us the opportunity to turn that same level of intention inward and invest in the team that makes it all happen.

This year, we came together to reflect on where we’ve been, celebrate what we’ve accomplished, and have meaningful conversations about where we’re going next. We talked about growth, client care, innovations in event planning, emerging event technology, sustainability, and the ways we can continue raising the bar for our clients, our partners, and each other.

And there was plenty to celebrate.

✨ Year-to-Date we have executed +120 events

🏆 Recognized our incredible members of our team, including our annual Janeen Herrera Optimism Award

🎉 And, of course, we made time to enjoy being together, held meaningful workshops as well as learned so much from our incredible Bravery Keynote Speaker Jill Schulman

For us, this retreat is about more than stepping away from the day-to-day. It’s a chance to reconnect with the bigger picture — to learn from one another, challenge ourselves, recognize great work, share new ideas, and strengthen the relationships behind everything DonAtlas does.

We spend our year creating thoughtful, memorable experiences for others. Taking the time to create one for our own team matters, too.

We’re heading into the next chapter energized, connected, and excited about what we’re building together.

Today, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the courage of the first responders, and the countless families whose lives were forever changed.

May we never forget those we lost and the way our country came together in the days that followed.
