๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฆ๐๐บ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐:
ROUND 1)
โข First round of storms will initiate along the warm front early afternoon or early evening (start time between 2-6pm) These storms may be initially discrete supercells with all hazards (damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes) possible. A large EF3 tornado is very possible with this event.
โข The Storm Prediction Center will be upgrading Fulton County to an EHNANCED risk for severe weather. This means the likelihood for severe weather has increased for Fulton County. This was mainly driven by an increase in the risk for large tornados.
โข These storms are anticipated to develop along the warm front which is located near Fulton County. This may significantly limit advanced warning time. Additionally, storms are expected to travel east around 40-50 MPH. A potential storm that formed on the west side of the County would likely travel across Fulton County in less than 30 minutes.
โข Please โ be weather aware today-. Have a NOAA Weather Alert Radio. Sign up for the County Nixle Alert System. Pay attention to local news media for any urgent alerts.
โข We are anticipating a Tornado WATCH being issued for the County around 2:00 PM.

ROUND 2)
Second wave of storms will arrive late evening & overnight this evening likely after 8PM. These may be more linear in nature, and severe winds will be the primary hazard along with locally heavy rain.
๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ:
โข Please be prepared for a severe weather event today, tomorrow, and every day. Taking preparedness actions *NOW* will help you in the event of an emergency and help our first responders
โข Do you have a home emergency kit? Do you have first aid supplies, snacks, bottled water, food for pets? Flashlights? Whistle? Change of clothes?
โข Sign up for the Fulton County Emergency Alerting System by texting FCEOC to the number 888777 and you will be enrolled in the platform. Also, the FCSD has an app which provides storm warning information and other useful information about their agency. Search for โFulton County Sheriff, ILโ in the app store on your mobile device to find it.
โข Run a copy of all important documents such as the insurance paperwork, drivers licenses, and put them in a safe or other hardened location.
โข Have a plan! Know where to go when a WATCH is issued. Know where to go when a WARNING is issued.
โข If an area is impacted by severe weather โ STAY AWAY. It is understandable residents want to help, but this can lead to slowing down emergency responders and put your safety at risk. Also treat ANY downed wire or cable like it is a high voltage or power line. Do not go near or move any downed wires.
Help first responders by being prepared, stay away from any damage areas and seek shelter if warnings/watches are issued. Have multiple ways to receive severe weather warnings.
Thanks for being a part of our page!
