Sacrifice before self. Duty before honor. Courage in the face of fear.

On this Veterans Day, I give thanks for the privilege of serving in the world’s finest fighting force—to have walked among men and women who carry the weight of freedom with steadfast resolve, and to have shared in the living heritage of a nation built on valor, faith, and sacrifice.

So much can be said of this land and those who defend her. Yet words will always fall short of the debt owed to her warriors—those who stood watch when others slept, who bore the burden so others might live free.

To my brothers and sisters in arms: though time and distance may part us, our bond endures beyond battlefields and years. We remain forever united—a band of warriors, bound by honor, defined by sacrifice.

We were truly honored to provide security for this year’s Pikeville Pride event. From the very first planning call to the final sweep at closeout, their leadership showed us nothing but respect, trust, and genuine partnership.

Events of this size and visibility require coordination, trust, and discipline from every partner on the ground. Pikeville Pride demonstrated all of that—and more. Their leadership made it easy for our team to do what we do best: protect, prevent, and respond.

We are grateful for the support and hospitality they showed us throughout the operation, and even more appreciative of the confidence they have placed in us going forward. The connections forged this weekend with other organizations and community partners speak volumes about what can happen when safety is treated as a shared priority.
